Proof Reader will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of print and digital layouts before final production.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of design principles, and the ability to spot errors in typography, spacing, and overall layout consistency.
Responsibilities:
Compare original marked-up material with print outs and mark corrections on the print out using standard edit notations
Check for correct font usage, image resolution, and color accuracy.
Ensure proper alignment and placement of design elements.
Collaborate with designers and production staff to resolve any issues.
Ensure that text, layout, and illustrations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and adhere to our design guidelines and client specifications.
Ensure implementation of client updates
Communicate in a timely and effective manner to resolve questions and to ensure that errors are properly corrected
Perform final quality checks on page layout and deliverable products prior to delivery
Reports quality finding
Running XML Tagging of translation in preparation for composition task.
Job Requirements:
Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications, including file management through Windows Explorer
Two years of experience proofreading or editing text; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Experience in proofreading and editing text. Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Reader and MS Office applications

Working knowledge of XML publishing production workflow / systems an advantage
Knowledge of MS Word operation an advantage
