You are an experienced Azure Data Architect who is passionate about innovation to help us build engaging and intelligent applications. You will be required to analyze an array of product offerings and business requirements within the organization. You will work with the product development teams (e.g. engineering, product managers and analysts) to evaluate and identify solutions that meet the needs of the business, utilizing industry standard best practices and creative design techniques to overcome complex business and technical challenges (e.g. maximum performance with complex data sets). Some additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Determine how the enterprise’s data will be stored and utilized to best provide actionable data to the end user.
• Work with product management and business subject matter experts to translate business requirements into good database design.
• Design robust ETL and ELT processes for disparate data sources
• Analyze existing data design and suggest improvements that promote performance, stability and interoperability.
• Work to ensure data quality across environments
• Work closely with other data and solution architects to develop efficient and scalable business solutions
• Provide database architecture leadership and mentor projects to development teams including migrating on premise database to various Azure data stores
• Maintain the governance model on the database architecture through training, design reviews, code reviews, and progress reviews.
• Participate in the development of Database Architecture and Roadmaps in support of business strategies
• Establish and maintain database architecture standards and best practices
• Participle in the evaluation of emerging technology and tools
• Self-motivated and ability to remain focused on assigned projects.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience working on solutions that collect, process, store and analyze large volumes of business-critical data
• 5+ years of experience working on Data Analysis, Database Design, Data Modeling, Data Ingestion/Integration, Data Validation, Data Warehousing
• 3+ years of experience developing both multidimensional and tabular models with large and complex datasets
• Experience with database performance evaluation and remediation
• Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation
• SQL Server 2019 or later, proficiency in Transact-SQL and RDBMS
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Visual Studio development/SQL Management Studio environments
• MS SQL development experience (TSQL, Views, Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Indexes, Partitioning)
• Ability to develop database strategies for flexible high-performance reporting and business intelligence
• 1+ years of experience with implementation and support of Azure cloud services including:
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Managed Instance
• Azure Storage
• Strong proficiency in SSIS
• Understanding of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery /Azure DevOps/VSTS/Git Branching

Preferred Qualifications

• RedGate SQL Change Automation Tools
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Cosmos DB
• Power BI, PowerShell scripting
• Background on Python, Machine Learning] , Statistical Modeling, and Data Science is a plus
